On Tuesday 4th November, MPs are invited to a special event at Speaker’s House celebrating deaf role models and achievement across sport, culture, media, and business. Hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Deafness, this event is a rare opportunity for MPs to meet directly with deaf individuals and understand the barriers they face, and the steps they have made to drive change.

Why your MP should attend

By attending, your MP can:

  • Gather powerful stories from deaf role models.
  • Learn how inclusive policy can improve access to healthcare, education, and employment.
  • Bring back insights to support deaf people in local communities.

Why it matters?

MPs are far more likely to attend if they are asked by constituents like you. Your message can help ensure deaf people are represented in Parliament and that your MP is part of the conversation about how to make the UK more inclusive and equal.
